Her bedes I oplyse: navn, adresse og telefonnummer. Bag arrangementet står Det Biovidenskabelige Fakultet (LIFE) og Rotary, Frederiksberg

Ole Drachmann nominated Paul Harris Fellow
At the meeting in CIRC December 11th, 2006 Ole Drachmann was presented with the nomination as Paul Harris Fellow. Eminent work for the Rotary Youth Exchange programme For the last six years Ole Drachmann has taken the responsibility for the students sponsored by the club in the Copenhagen International Rotary Club. Each year a young person from Denmark has been sponsored by the club to go on a life changing experience and attend a year in a Gymnasium somewhere else in the world. At the same time the club has welcomed a young person from another country to live in Denmark for a year, learn Danish and attend one year at a Danish Gymnasium. Hard voluntary work The paperwork and organizational work involved for both the incoming and the outgoing student is enormous. Danish families must be found to host the student. A gymnasium place must found for the student and all relevant reports and particulars about the coming student forwarded to the hosting gymnasium. Visas and travel documents must be in order together with general advice on what to expect from life in Denmark or the overseas country. Local rules and the rules for Rotary Exchange Students must be carefully explained. And as Rotary is a voluntary organization no money is paid for this. Strong personal involvement Every year Ole has been at Kastrup Airport to meet a nervous young girl or boy arriving in Denmark for the first time. He is also at the airport to say farewell to a young man or women who has finished a life forming year in Denmark. He has coped with problems, tragedies, joys and emotions. He has chased stolen bicycles, sorted out pocket money and taken phone calls at three in the morning. He and his wife have opened their own home on many occasions to a student whose family is many thousand miles away. Appreciation of furthering better understanding Ole has never put himself first. As a true Rotarian he has given service above self. For this devotion to duty and his love of young people, Rotary International has honored him by naming him a Paul Harris Fellow `in appreciation of tangible and significant assistance given for the furtherance of better understanding and friendly relations among peoples of the world´.
